INSPIRING GIRL BOSS READS
If you came to my apartment, you would see the number of books I have collected, and the obsession I have over them. I'm the girl who prefers books over movies, and people call me crazy for it! I read about 2-3 books a month especially during my commute on the Toronto subway. I believe that books can really change you as a person and help you grow. I have listed my go-to entrepreneur/self improvement books for you to read!
Lisa is the founder of The Collective Hub, an entrepreneurial lifestyle magazine, and has written several books about her experience in becoming an entrepreneur and investing in herself. She gives her honest approach to starting a business in this generation. This book is my number one, as it was the first self-improvement book I have ever picked up and it pushed me to work harder towards my goals. Everyone always needs a little push sometimes! Lisa is a fearless leader, and it shines in this book.
She is coming out with a new book in July titled "Work from Wherever" and I'm so excited! If you're interested to read more about it, you can find more information on this page.
If you're the person who dreams to be an entrepreneur but you overthink, doubt yourself and tend to think negatively, this is the book for you.
This book is not only how to improve your business, but it can also be your mindset towards relationships, health, money, etc. This book will help make you realize the reasons you aren’t working towards all the things you dream of doing, and help create change in your life. Tonya has done a wonderful job at helping you create a positive mindset in your life.
If you can only pick one book out of this list to read, choose this one. I feel like this was the book that related to me the most because of my past life experiences. Carrie started off at the age of 20 with absolutely no money and teaches you how to bring your vision to life and being in the right mindset. She started the Female Entrepreneur Association to help entrepreneurial women around the globe, and I totally love this! Girls supporting girls is my motto.
If you've read her first successful book "You are a Badass", I probably wouldn't suggest you read this one too, as I heard it has a very similar approach. I didn't read the first book as I had read The Secret many years ago and felt like it was a copy, but I loved this one! If you read my blog post on How I Became a Girl Boss, you would know that this book changed my life. This is the book that switched my mind around and pushed me towards creating my business, which I had launched only a month after reading it!
This is definitely not a book teaching you exactly how to make money but it’s more about mastering the mindset around money. I found this book to be so inspirational and showed me that anyone can be rich if they put their mind to it.
Those are my top four inspirational reads that I recommend if you are wanting inspiration or a push in the right direction. If you have any recommendations for me, i’m always down for a good book!
